A 3-letter word starts in the cylinder. Take turns reshaping it. Every word you make must be a real word, and no word may repeat.
Grow — add a letter to either end.
art → tart → tarts
Spin — change one letter in place.
tart → cart → card
Your first move must be a Grow.
If it’s your turn and no word is left, you lose. Surrendering loses too.
A word that isn’t real — or that you already used — is a jam. Three jams in one turn and you lose the duel — the same against a person or the Locksmith. In Highest score, each jam also costs 2 points.
Three per duel. A hint lights up the ring worth trying. It never tells you the letter.
Every word scores its new letter plus the word’s length.

−2 per jam. +15 for cornering your opponent, whoever they are. Most points wins — so a big enough lead can steal a duel you lost on the board.
The Locksmith — Apprentice plays everyday words. Journeyman thinks a move ahead. Mastermind always plays the crushing word. Beat him badly enough and he concedes.
⚔️ Daily Duel — one word a day, the same for everyone. Share your result.
🧘 Zen — solo, no losing. One long chain, unlimited hints, auto-spin if you want it.
Deadbolt — hard mode. No hints, and only two jams lose the duel.

Add a block at the start or the end.
cat → cats
Change a block into a different letter.
cat → cot
It has to be a real word, and you can’t use the same word twice.
Tap Hint as many times as you like. Pip will tell you a letter to try.
In Easy, the letters that work light up green. In Tricky, you find them yourself.
A wrong guess just wobbles — try another letter. When there are no words left, you both win.
